  • Demonstrates marked site preferences and cuts pBR322 DNA very slowly.
  • Inhibited by salt concentrations > 50mM.
  • NgoMIV, an isoschizomer of NaeI, exhibits less site preference.
  • For enzymes that cannot be heat-inactivated, we recommend using a column for cleanup (such as the Monarch® PCR & DNA Cleanup Kit), or running the reaction on an agarose gel and then extracting the DNA (we recommend Monarch Gel Extraction Kit), or performing a phenol/chloroform extraction.
  • Requires two or more sites for cleavage. Please review the enzyme list and recommendations in the following table as well as the background information article.
  • Blocked by CpG methylation.
